I first began to post regularly on a web forum early in 1998 when I was 14 years old. It was on a forum dedicated to news about the upcoming computer game Ultima IX. For a while I was the youngest person there and I felt self-conscious about my youth... but I was careful not to mention it and everyone just assumed that I was older.

I hung around there until I was 18. Those were the days that I posted most prolifically... until I came across this forum, in fact, I had ceased to post on web forums almost entirely. :)

My first was.. actually, it was Inthe00s. I used AmIRight a bit as a makeshift forum cause we wanted to see how long we could make the comment section on one parody.. but then I joined here for contests and such for AmIRight. Later, I kinda stopped posting with AmIRight, and just came here. I reckon it was... 3-4 years ago, the summer before my 7th grade year.

My loyal posting on Inthe00s started about 2 years ago, In 2004 when I started 9th grade.. we had high-speed internet for the first time.

   1999, in my post WebTV days...

   It was some moderated and unmoderated usenet newsgroups.  Those "alt." boards separated the men from the boys...

The first web forum I ever joined was a place called the 80sxchange.  I was looking for information on 80s bands, and stumbled into it through a thread about Canadian One Hit Wonders.

I officially joined the 80sxchange in April of 2004, made a few posts, then forgot my password.  A month later, while still looking for the same information, i re-stumbled upon the 80sxchange, so I thought i'd try my password again.  It worked, and I became a regular poster there until I was banned in April of 2005.  In my 1 year there, I racked up close to 8,000 posts, which is a record becuase there are many many restrictions on posting (ie: 1 board game post per thread per day)

About a month later, I joined a place called the "Children of the Revolution", which was run by two nice Canadian folk named TVOrphan and Sea of Sin (whom you know from here as AbsolutelyVile and Rush).  When that place sadly closed down, I surfed the net for like a week looking for a good 80s messageboard, but all I found were dead ones.  So, I went back to the 80sxchange to spy and see how that place was doing without me, and saw someone mention this place, so I followed the link and here I am 8)

I started posting on a Classmates.com forum, gosh, years ago...maybe '97.  Also, I've posted on Staten Island Live forums six or so years now -- discussions of growing up in Staten Island and also a religion forum they have.  I also participated--and this is probably the very first one--back in '96 or so, in a forum that was for people working through a book called "The Artist's Way."  And now this one.  And that's about it.

I guess the frist place I posted regularly was a place called Yesterdayland.  That was back in 2001.  Sadly the site shut down.

Then I posted on BabyCenter when I was pregnant with my son.

  I think many early members of Decades were the orphans of Yesterdayland..?

This was the very first forum I joined, and that was back in 1999.  It's the only one I've stayed with for a long period of time.  I love this place and the people here.  This is my home.  :)

My first forum posts were made on this very forum, in May 2005. :) I didn't even have internet until a few weeks prior to that.

Prior to here, I only posted on one and that was a 'bulletin' format forum, which become devilishly hard to follow when things got busy...

Anyway, long story short, although there was some good informative chat, there was also quite a bit of unfriendliness to go with it...which is why I vamoosed...

I can't quite remember how I came to find myself here, but I'm pretty dam' glad I did!

And yes, it is the only one I visit...

Well, a few years back I became obsessed with the Megaman series of videogames, and joined a Megaman forum. Later, I joined a now-dead forum called the "Anti Chainmail Movement", which had a sole purpose: Poking fun at insipid chain-letter emails. After that, I joined Chronoshock, another videogame-obsessive's heaven. And after that, I joined InThe00s, just because Bethie happens to go here.

I started out on various other messageboards around February 2002, mainly on the now defunct Top Of The Pops Boards and other BBC boards, which had a total change around.  Recommend by a fellow poster to try out this website I applied on May 08 2004, but started here seriously in December the same year.

At first I started out in chat rooms then in 2000 I became addicted to messageboards.

I started out here when it was strictly an inthe80s board (99-ish?), before the YaBB board.  I ventured to other boards in 2003.  Most of the boards I belong to have to do with the 80's or music, including one I co-administrate.  :)

My first forum was The Howard Stern Bulletin Board. That shut down as I was submitting a post.
After that I stayed away from message boards because I didn't like the way they were set up.

I belong to the History Channel Message board but I never posted.Then I stumbled on this board,
and this is the only one I'll post in.

Probably about 7 years ago.

In 2001 and 2002 I was hugely into this Simpsons forum, where I was known for heavy intellectual debates as to OFF, complex episode reviews and analyses of the Simpsonian place in pop culture, and fan fiction. I became a double-forum moderator after being a junior moderator, but I got increasingly disenchanted with the huge board and wanted to sabotage the whole board, got de-moderatered, and left. I joined here in Feb. 2006.

Don't know exactly when, but the earliest I remember regularly posting was 1998 when I joined the Aquarium Fish Magazine Forum. At the mere age of 12 I was probably the youngest member there - many were in their 50s, 60s and beyond - I was chatised by being 'young and inexperienced.' lol. In the succeeding years I must've joined hundreds of forums, but never really was a regular at any. Do a search on 'Ragemaster' and 'Trimac20' - I used to frequent the Doors message board as well. Now I don't really post much at any other boards but this one.
