Subject: Demotivational Posters

Written By: Red Ant on 02/21/08 at 10:17 pm

We've all seen those cheesy motivational posters at our places of employment or schools before. Bleck! However, I love the demotivational posters, like this one:

http://www.deaddog.com/uploaded_images/basic-math-motivational-poster-727369.jpg

Ones that ring true, like this one:

The messed up:

and the truly warped but still funny:

What is your favorite demotivational poster?

If you want to try your hand at making one, you can go to this site:

http://diy.despair.com/motivator.php

Here's one I made earlier:

I've only used the other site, kinda funny that they would have two different sites for this sort of thing...

After all, you can make the both motivational and demotivational ones on either one. :D

Edit: Although, I have yet to make a one of the de-motivate variety.

I'm going to hell for this, but at least...

http://www.motleycrow.com/ImageHost/patience.jpg

...I'm getting a window seat for finally remembering my favorite demotivational poster of all time: Patience: Good things come to those who wait.

Kevin Carter won the Pulitzer Prize for taking the original photograph in 1993.  It was published in the New York Times.  He was the talk of the town when he won the Pulitzer for it in 1994.  Two months later, he killed himself.

Posting the demotivational poster by itself is an automatic ticket to hell -- but apparently, doing it with full knowledge of the backstory nets you an upgrade to first-class seating.  For those of you who so much as smirked, let alone laughed... well, you're still in coach, but you get free beverage tickets for the duration of the flight!

For some reason I thought that "Patience" picture was a Photoshop job (probably because it is so sad).

I saw it but thought better than to post it (yay, Heaven, here I come!). I also thought that if there was a Heinz 57 ketchup packet in the poster it would have been... more than it was (turn up the flames in Hell I suppose...).

Good Photoshop skills, Alan.

Not sure if you're apologizing to me or to everyone to have to see that pic ( ;)), but either way apology accepted.
