The group Midnight Star had a ton of hits from 1980-1986.I love this funky group so much that I had to go out and get The Anniversary Collection.What is your favorite song out of the 11 options? :)

'Headlines' which sounds a tad dated now, but it was a killer dance track at the time...

I'm sure I've still got a handful of their 12"s somewhere...

Same here...

not a big hit over here, btw (only #33). "Don't Rock The Boat" did slightly better, reaching #27 - and that was it.

Midnight Star's biggest hit here in Canada was 'Freak-A-Zoid' which reached #43 in 1984.  Oddly enough, according to my chart figures, it was their only hit here.  I am a little shocked that 'Operator' never charted here :o

I kinda knew that one first...and it was just a few years ago or so when I first remember hearing "No Parking On The Dance Floor."
