The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is the only major newspaper I know of that puts Sherman's Lagoon online and up to date. You can go to Seattlepi.com and go to their Comics & Games section to see it. Very amusing comic :)

Does anyone read comic BOOKS? I used to be a major Green Lantern fan (hence avatar) but I haven't read much since my favorite comic book store in Berkeley shut down. I'm more of a DC Universe guy...the only Marvel superhero I read religiously is Spider-Man.

I used to read the real gook books like Flaming Carrot.
I have not purchased a super hero comic for a long time. i loved batman (later ones like Dark Knight)
and i used to have some xmen.
but not in years.
i think they began to focus on art rather than story and that was not what I was in it for.

The last Batman storyline I read was called "Hush", about a villain who used to be one of Batman's acquaintances. It was well written and the art wasn't half bad either. If you're into story, that is one I would recommend.
The storyline that resurrected Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern was pretty cool too, as well as the one that brought Green Arrow back to life (written by Kevin Smith, of all people). Superheroes just don't know how to stay dead :D

I find superhero comics boring. I enjoy reading them, but they're so expensive that I don't.
When I purchase a comic book, it's usually from the publishing company "Slave Labor Graphics", and it seems most of their comics are morbid and humorous...
So I pretty much like humor comics.

I'm quite the fan of Dark Horse comics. They've got a lot of good stuff. I got in to them when they did the Dark Empire comic books and have maintained a mild interest since then.

As a kid I read Spellbound and Misty comic books of ghost stories. For comic books I used to get 2000AD, The X-men, The New Mutants, Justice and PSI Force.
Fat Freddy's Cat was funny too.
Comic Strips it has to be Peanuts of course and something called Up and Running about two girls who share a flat one has food issues and the other sleeps with anything male and they both drink alot!

I have the full set of Dark Empire comics, in plastic covers.. I bet I could get $100 for 'em.
I just don't read comic books much anymore.. if I'm gonna spend 5 or 6 bucks on something to read.. I'll get a book.

About a year ago I purchased a Frank Miller comic called "300", um, I guess we'd call it a 'graphic novel', now (glorified comic book). Miller's vision of the mythologized defeat of the Spartans at Thermopylae...
V-e-e-e-e-ry nicely done. Gotta say this - Frank Miller has one twisted mind, and I mean that in a good way... ;)
