Subject: Favorite Works Of Edgar Allan Poe..

Going through High School I really starting getting into the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
I liked his poems the most but I also liked the macabre writing style of his short stories.
My favorite short story is "The Cask Of Amontillado". My favorite poem is "Annabel Lee"

ANNABEL LEE

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee: ---
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.


She was a child and I was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love ---
I and my Annabel Lee ---
With a love that the wing

Ditto.  Castle Island, which is not an island, it is probably the best parks in Boston, is where Poe supposedly got his inspiration for "The Cask...".  Great take in if you are ever in the area.

I've loved Poe's writing ever since we were forced to read "Hop-Frog" in 8th grade English.
