Subject: Commercial Questions

Written By: malibumike65 on 01/16/07 at 1:23 am

Probably since before the age old question, "Does she or doesn't she?" and up to "Can you hear me now?" TV commercials have asked us questions. How many ads can you name that had a question as a tag line?

There's one that I can't quite recall the exact product name but it's clearly for some sort of instant savoury rice.  "Did we make our rice too nice?"

Another one is for a chocolate bar that I've never tried and it's no longer on the market.  "Would you risk it for a Swiskit?"

Yep, it sure is.  And I still smoke them on occasion.  They were unique in that they had a charcoal filter.

And in it's day, it was commonly used as a political slogan.  Everybody from Barry Goldwater to Dr. Martin Luther King used it.

A fast food joint (McDonalds, I think...or was it Burger King?) once had a slogan that asked "Have you had your break today?"
