Subject: Dr. Seuss!

Written By: Jessica on 09/21/07 at 10:21 am

I don't know if anyone else has ever started a topic on him, but it just came to mind because the kid is stuck on Seuss right now. Not that I mind. His two favorites (that we are constantly reading to him) are "The Lorax" (which I love) and "The Sleep Book."

So, do you guys have any favorite Seuss books? :)

I actually got this for my sister when she graduated high school...it's actually very appropriate.

That book is awesome. We were lucky to find it in a bargain bin for three bucks because Dr. Seuss is expensive. :P

I thought I was the only one who didn't like Seuss, glad there are others out there.  ;D

I never even bought one of his books for my kids, the only time they get to read them is at school, grandma's or the library.

Oh, I tried to read them to her she just wasn't receptive.  Maybe it was my lackluster delivery that she didn't respond to.
Anyway, kindred spirit karma right backatcha.  ;)

I like Dr. Seuss, I still find myself reading them, kids or not. I stood in a book store and read Green Eggs And Ham,
I can only imagine what people thought of that.

My favorites:

Yertle The Turtle
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
The Lorax
The Sneetches
Horton Hears A Who
the Butter Battle Book

I used to get Dr.Seuss books in the mail.

I was always more into Golden Books.

My mom used to read me Golden Books, but she would change the dialouge, and make them really funny. She hated reading them  ;D.

My favorites:

Yertle The Turtle

Oh yes, I remember Yertle The Turtle too. It was about a turtle who wanted to be high above everyone else (and everything else), much to the chagrin of a fellow turtle named Mac.

Oh yeah, we had all those Dr. Seuss books.  My favorite is still "The Cat in the Hat."
My friend Paul reminds me of the Cat in the Hat.  I came up with the comparison partying with him when he was manic (he's bipolar) -- Wild, compulsive, edgy, ballsy, and kind of dangerous.  You've got it in the back of your mind you might get arrested, injured, or killed, but it's all waaaay too much fun to call a stop to it!
