IMO, it's a time capsule of what fashion was like in 1987, for the better or worse :D, with the acid wash/ripped jeans & big hair. Not to mention she looked cute instead of looking trashy (ie lolita pop singer or druggie)...

It's a controversial album cover, and was apparently censored for release in many countries back in the day

I have the Candy-O cover mounted on my wall in a LP picture frame.
It doesn't have any writing on it though.

It was done by Alberto Vargas, a famous pin-up artist from the 50's.

Although I dont have the images, some metal band album covers are quite illistrative and creative for their time. Early Metallica,Iron Maiden and Megadeth albums are ones to look out for.
from memory of older bands I do like the Disraeli gears album by Cream.

Did you ever see the original version of the Some Girls cover? They had famous celebrities faces (Farrah Fawcett, Jackie-O) but had to change because they didn't have permission to use them. Anybody have the orignal cover of Street Survivors (Lynyrd Skynyrd) before they died in the plane crash? They changed that cover also.
