Subject: Sappiest, Cloying, most annoying Ballads

Written By: woops on 02/13/08 at 6:48 pm

Though anything from Barry Manilow, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Backstreet Boys, and about all  of the listed acts would be considered horrible

As for Tiffany, it's not because I'm a fan or 'you know who', but because her voice sounded horrible

I'll take Debbie Boone for $200, Alex.

Gawd, I hate that f*cking song. It makes me want to rip my eardrums out.

Other!

If I had to pick one, it would be Serene Demon's cover of "All By Myself".  8-P http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/08/repuke.gif

I had to go with Blunt.  That is the most awful song I have ever heard.

Debbie Boone.  I can't stand that song.  It was #1 in both the US and Canada on the day I was born >:(

Wow, even though I'm a ballad fan generally speaking, I pretty much detest all of those. Yeah I'd agree with Blunt being the worst, lol.

The only ones I DO like are "I Want it That Way" and "Oh Sherrie" (cheesy but fun '80s).

While I can't tolerate anything on that list except the Anita Baker tune, I chose "other".

Everything I Do, I Do It For You by Bryan Adams makes me wretch :P every damn time I hear it!

Tsk! De Blurgh's 'Lady In Red' didn't even make the cut?

Not worth voting, then... ;)

Still though, you gotta give him points for being the first non Hip-Hop or American Idol contestant to have a #1 sense 2002.

Ha ha, definitely a contender . . . though I love to listen to him struggle through those high notes.

I voted 'Without you' by Nilson. As painful to listen to as 'All by myself' . . .
