Subject: Video Music Awards... past & present

Does anybody have any favorite moment from the VMAs? Especially back when MTV actually stood for Music Television rather than Moronic TV.
The Ting Tings will perform in this year's VMA's and that's basically it.
Favorite performances:
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers "Give It Away" (when fans got on the stage)
2. Bon Jovi "Living On A Prayer/Wanted Dead Or Alive" (acoustic performance that inspired "Unplugged")
3. Madonna "Like A Virgin" (infamous wedding dress)
