A thread after my own heart.  I LOVE smooth jazz.  I listen to a station out of Detroit on my pc and go to jazz concerts when I can.  I'm not that great with links and youtube, but many of you have mentioned artists (if not particular tracks) that I really enjoy.

I do enjoy a lot of the more contemporary artists like Boney James, Dave Koz, Paul Hardcastle (with and without Jazzmasters), Najee, Brian Culbertson, Steve Oliver, Russ Freeman (with and without the Rippingtons), Alex Bugnon, Peter White, the list goes on.  I also love Miles, Coltrane, Billie, and Sarah.  I also love some more "local" talent...Steve Sandner from Chicago (www.sandnermusic.com has tracks you can listen to/download--some of his stuff is cover, some is original) and Randy Marsh (drummer) from Grand Rapids, MI.  Randy also has a group, Organissimo, that has some stuff on youtube, like this (I hope it works):

My dad used to listen to a lot of smooth jazz and new age music. Sometime in the mid-90's, we got our first surround sound system and I'd sit and listen to Yanni, Keiko Matsui, and others with him. Now whenever I hear those songs, it brings back so many nice memories.
