Subject: What rock bands best represents a decade

Written By: joeman on 01/08/09 at 11:32 am

Basically, when you think of a decade, which rock band best represents it?

Here are my pics:

50's - Elvis/Chuck Berry
60's - The Beatles/The Doors/Jimi Hendrix experience

70's - Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd

80's - Motley Crue/Gun's N Roses

90's - Metallica/Nirvana/Limp Bizkit(as much as I hate them, they were extremely big in the late 90's)

00's - Nickelback/Linkin Park

I find it too difficult to have 2 or 3 bands represent an entire decade because there are so many genres of music - even variations within rock itself.
