I don't really know much on his music.  His lone hit single here was 'Vancouver Town' in 1971, which actually qualified for CANCON because it was produced in Canada

Quite the list you got there... 8) Still, I feel you've missed some good ones.

First, three that didn't make it outside Australia, as far as I know:

Mother Goose - Baked Beans (sheer goofyness!)
Jon English - Hollywood Seven (a cover version by Alides Hidding made #25 in Holland)
Railroad Gin - A Matter Of Time (sadly, I can't find a video for this song)

Some acts that had international appeal:

1960's
Easybeats - Hello How Are You (a Dutch #7)
John Rowles - If I Only Had Time
John Rowles - Hush..Not A Word To Mary (The little known follow-up, peaking at #19 in Holland)

1970's
Peter Allen - I Go To Rio
John Paul Young - Lost In Your Love (his third biggest hit in Holland)
Gary Shearston - I Get A Kick Out Of You
The Mixtures - The Pushbike Song
Mi-Sex - Computer Games (Interestingly how this doesn't sound dated at all!)

1980's
Split Enz - I Hope I Never (An overlooked gem, if you ask me)
Rick Springfield - Celebrate Youth
Flash & The Pan - Midnight Man
Flash & The Pan - Waiting For A Train
Angry Anderson - Suddenly

1990's
Indecent Obsession - Kiss Me
Yothu Yindi - Treaty
Chili Hi Fly - Is It Love (Audio only)
Black Sorrows - Ain't Love The Strangest Thing (Their only 'hit' in Holland. Got stuck at #56)
Baz Luhrmann & Lee Perry - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

2000's
Holly Valance - Kiss Kiss
Delta Goodrem - Born To Try

And some that were hits only in Holland and maybe Australia:

1975 | Kamahl - The Elephant Song
1976 | Kamahl - Save The Oceans Of The World (No video, thank goodness!)
1978 | Doug Ashdown - Winter In America

1995 | Little River Band - Forever Blue

A lot of Aus groups from the 60s normally had to travel to Britain to seek their fame and fortune (London was deemed to be where it was 'at' in those days!), but only a handful ever got to record...

Hardly out-and-our rock 'n' roll, but this mob were about the most succesful...

Then again, you could throw the Bee Gees into the mix in a roundabout way...

And just because it's a classic, here's the Easybeats again...

Certainly an interesting one...a group with English, Scottish and Dutch origins recording a song in England which was produced by an American!

I keep forgetting that John Paul Young is Australian.  He is indeed awesome.  I loved the Milk and Sugar remix of 'Love is in the Air' that I believe featured him in new re-sung vocals
