Subject: What is the most aired movie/s of all time?

Hi all

Thought it would be fun to discuss this,

What is the most aired / syndicated movie/s of all time?

Network TV and local TV only.

Not sure if there is a definitive answer to this question...maybe someone from Nielsen Ratings can help us.

Being a bit older, I can think of plenty of other ones.

The 10 Commandments
It's A Wonderful Life
The Wizard Of Oz
The Greatest Story Ever Told
The Sound Of Music
The Pink Panther
Goldfinger

These routinely were shown at least once a year on at least one of the "Big 3" networks.  And since the growth of independent TV stations in the 1980's, were shown on them a lot too before cable took over.

The Wizard Of Oz was aired once a year on American TV, from 1959 through today (except during the years 1963 , 1995, and 1997).  In 2002 it was shown 5 times.  Then in 2007 it was shown 7 times.  This is because Ted Turner had a new master created, and he owns WTBS (which in addition to being a cable channel, is also a broadcast station in Atlanta).
