I adore blues music, there have been many nights I'd sign on to Pal Talk to their blues channel (just people playing their fave blues recordings) loving every minute.  I'm unfortunately not very knowledgable in who might be good...

Some I like alot:

Johnny Lang
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Eric Clapton
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Jeff Healy Band
Robert Johnson

Some great ones in this thread.  Love Gary Moore

In Canada, we have a couple of great blues acts ...

The Downchild Blues Band rose to fame in 1973 with their Top 40 cover of the classic 'Flip, Flop and Fly'.  It remained their biggest hit, but they did have other greats like 'Tell Your Mother' in 1974 and 'Trying to Keep Her 88s Straight' in 1980.  Their version of Flip... seems to be the fan favourite over others including Big Joe Turner's original ...

We also have The Powder Blues, who chartwise were more successful than Downchild, scoring a small run of hits in the early 80s ...

Doin' it Right, 1980
