On September 26, 1983, Stanislav Petrov had a funny feeling in his gut.
He played his hunch, his hunch was correct, and because of that, he saved the world.
This weekend, America marks - as it did in 1983 - the holiday of Thanksgiving. So thanks, Lt. Col. Petrov, for having the balls to go with your gut.
