Subject: Best Buy cell phone ads (1991-2002)

Saw this on Best Buy the other day, it has some pics of old ads from 1991-2002. You can see how mobile phones evolved over that 9 year period it's pretty interesting. I do remember those "transportable" bag phones were still very popular when I was a kid.

Some of those old phones are hilarious.  Back in the days before internet and text messaging were in existance.  When T-Mobile in the USA launched text messaging, they called it Ping Pong.  I still remember the commercials with Jamie Lee Curtis.

Those big white phones, are often referred to as the "Zack Morris Phone".  You can actually buy ones now that take SIM Cards.  I'd love to get one and just walk down a street and pretend I'm talking to Slater about what Kelly and I are up to. lol
