Do you remember any TV or video production company logos from your childhood that fascinated you or scared the pants off you? Here are some that fascinated but never scared me:

Thames Video Collection (Shown at the end of my Learn With Sooty videos)

Hanna Babera swirling star (Shown at the end of many cartoons)

The Video Collection (Shown at the beginning of many of my videos)

Pickwick video (As above)

Klasky Csupo (Shown at the end of Rugrats)

MSD Video (probably shown on my My Little Pony videos)

^ I thought it was going to be "here they are now. Morecambe and Wise"

The ATV ovals that morphed into something else (or maybe something morphed into them?) is one I can only vaguely remember.  And of course that channel is not going any more

This one was not regularly seen (unless you lived in Wales) as the TV company didn't make many programmes...

...probably because they blew the budget on this here ident! Good one, though...

I used to love the Global TV idents of the early 90s.  Global is a network in Canada that now airs major US TV shows in prime time.

That Viacom one used to frighten me, especially later in it's use with the deep voiced guy that would speak "Viacom".  That guy went on to be the announcer for 'The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn'

I actually like that one; it meant that Charlie Brown was coming on.

This one, however, was run-to-my-room-and-plug-my-ears scary:

Edited:  so was this:

I associate that one with Monty Python's Flying Circus, which PBS used to run.  I know it appeared on other BBC programs, but MPFC was the one I was always psyched for!

From the infamous "Creature Double Feature" aired on Boston's WLVI channel 56 in the seventies:

Another Boston UHF station -- WSBK channel 38 (before it became part of UPN)

In reality, it shouldn't have appeared on any other BBC programme, as it was a logo from a 'rival' TV company...the BBC are funny like that!

Such was Python's popularity that it was given special dispensation to be used as a spoof...quite groundbreaking for the time...

Here's a variant of the swirling star I remember that was shown at the end of The Powerpuff Girls:

Here are a couple of Disney Home Video idents I grew up with:
