Hi
I am just curious about when the song "proud to be american" was written and performed for the first time. I guess before the 70's that's why I posted it here...
Was it Lee greenwood who sang it first or is the history elder than that??

The songs title is "God Bless USA" written by Lee Greenwood.  It was nominated at the Country Music Awards in 1985.
