Who is he ?

He was the "King of Skiffle"

He is generally credited with being one of the prime motivations of the Beatles to adopt the style of music they did.

He died today at the age of 71 from a heart attack, whilst TOURING !

I think I recall hearing that he was an influence on the Rolling Stones also.

I didn't know much about him until I came over to Scotland..A friend of mine was just saying a few weeks ago how he's still touring and everything at his age.  :(

I'll never forget clicking on an Internet link a while ago to hear "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour on the Bedpost Overnight?" for the first time in decades, and being shocked at how much of it I had forgotten--how wonderful and clever it is, with ingenious rhymes and amusing finish.
