Subject: 1950s - song on Radio Two ?

Written By: stanley on 01/06/03 at 11:20 a.m.

::)  Can anyone recall a song in the 1950s with the words

"Cement Mixer - bah de bah dey" in the refrain.

Singer was male, popular, in the genre of Perry Como,

Guy Mitchell, Dickie Valentine.      Song was quite a

catchy little tune.    Any help appreciated.    Stan.

I think you are talking about Slim Gaillard "Cement Mixer" (on the Columbia label).  Go to this site & scroll about 2/3rds of the way down-- there is a sample.  http://www.pocreations.com/slimimport.html
