Outrageous but true:

1. Neil Young suffered through polio as a youngster and epilepsy as an adult and has two children with cerebral palsy. I don't think many people could bear up under this, let alone make unbelievably beautiful music.
2. He sings about Johnny Rotten with Elvis on his T Shirt.

PEACE

Outrageous but true:  Elvis Costello once called Ray Charles an "ignorant blind ni**er."  It's true.

In Costello's defense:  He didn't mean it, he was really drunk, and he only said it because he was trying to p*** off Stephen Stills at the time (rest assured Stephen Stills beat his bespectacled butt into the ground).  Later, in an attempt to distance himself from this incident, he recorded an entire soul/Motown-styled album, Get Happy!!, which some call his best ever.

Well, not a rock singer, but Yul Brenner used to bring his own toilet seat with him wherever he went. :o Didn't like using public toilet seats -had to install his own (i.e. in dressing rooms, hotels, etc).
