From what I hear, Coca-Cola used to have Cocaine in it; before it was illegal. Would'nt that be interesting?

I liked the flavored ones best and they DID taste better then.  Put some chocolate syrup in my good coke and it was a real treat.  What other flavors did we have then?

The best cola I ever tasted was this stuff called "Super Coola".  Coke in the 6 1/2 oz thick green glass bottles tasted good.  Pepsi in the small bottles was pretty good.

What I really miss is Golden Age cherry soda. I've never found a cherry soda before or since with that exact taste....

Anyone remember Nesbitt's?  Bottles (real bottles) of Coke out of a machine were great, so was Pepsi.  Now I can only stand to drink one or two because they both have a sickeningly sweet taste after awhile now.  Is Fresca still around?  I don't believe I liked it.  What's the best soda now?  I really like IBC Root Beer.

Oh, and can you remember the 'Faygo' flavors from the tv commercial...cherry,cola,grape,rock and rye and red pop?
Many others there too...
Ahh, the memories...

Remember those little flavored tablets you'd drop into a glass of water like Alka-Seltzer, and it would turn into cola? I forget what they were called.

In So. California there is a company known as Dr. Soda that has a wherehouse of different sodas or can find them for you if you are looking..he may have a website too..I miss "Chocola" it was in a bottle ike a Pepsi but was better than YooHoo in the midwest...why it's gone is a shame...also they used to make Steve's NY Egg Cream in a bottle..rather nasty tasting and haven't seen it out west anymore because lack of distributors or terrible product..Virginia carries Chocolate Soldier..but the soda company also advertises Chocolate Brownie..Still I miss "Chocola"..or is it around???

A friend of mine's an old New Yorker who still makes his own egg creams.  I think it's chocolate syrup and something carbonated.  I know it has nothing to do with eggs or cream.
Moxie is an old favorite here in New England, but it's an aquired taste, it's peculiarly strong and not very sweet.  The idiom "moxie" for "guts" or "chutzpah" (as in, "you've got a lot of moxie showing your face around here!") is reputed to come from the soft drink Moxie.

Quoting:NESBITT'S LIME SODA

We spent a lovely summer, my wife Elaine and me,
We bought us a great big motor home, with a shower and TV,
We was camping and having a great time, watching Brokaw on Today,
Till a bee flew into the Nesbitt's Lime Soda, and we had to throw it away.
Now most of the time I'm a peaceful man, but I lost my temper that day,
Just one last bottle of Nesbitt's Lime Soda, and we had to throw it away.
I brought a case of Nehi, and Double Cola, too,
A half a dozen Upper 10's, and good old Mountain Dew,
I bought a quart of cola-a, to get me through the day,
But just one bottle of Nesbitt's Lime Soda, and we had to throw it away.
Now most of the time I'm a peaceful man, but I lost my temper that day,
Just one last bottle of Nesbitt's Lime Soda, and we had to throw it away.

F**K! GIT-... F**KING GET OUT OF HERE! GET AWAY FROM HERE! JUST

We had a soda in my area called Cliquot Club(?),but as a kid my family usually bought Coke or Canada Dry,my favorite Canada Dry flavor besides the famous ginger ale was Tahitian Treat. Also, has anyone here ever drank JOLT Cola? That's a real wake-up call! LOL! :o
