I agree, Mindy !

We looked forward to it every Sunday morning. The kids on that show seemed to have THE BEST FUN !

I especially remember the face painting sequences. The background music would usually be the song, "An Actor's Life For Me" and kids got to sit at theatrical make up mirrors painting their faces with huge grease paint sticks !

Remember all of the freebies the kids got, too , at the end of the show ? A package of Kraus Hot Dogs ...what were some of the others ? The Wonderama-A-Go-Go was always fun to watch. Three kids were chosen as the best dancers and than spotlighted on these three round platforms.

Thanks for sparking the memory !

Oh wow, major flashback time!!!!

I remember I would watch this every Sunday morning in Los Angeles in the late 60's and early 70's.

And let's not forget the contests, like popping balloons by sitting on them, or seeing who could eat something silly fastest, or who could whistle first after eating crackers.

Or the neat things they would teach you to make.  I still remember rolling up the newspaper, and cutting it then pulling it out to make this tree.  Loads of fun, but a little messy.  :P

But live studio shows like that are gone.  TO bad, no more Wonderama, no more Hobo Kelly or Sheriff John, nor any of the other live studio audience kid's shows.  I guess they like shows like the Silly-Jerry Rivera show more now.

Civilization in decline.
