Subject: Hawaii Five-0

Written By: Butterball on 09/26/03 at 10:43 p.m.

I asked my 20 year old daughter if she knew what the five-0 in Hawaii Five-0 meant. She said it meant police, or cop. She just would not believe that it meant the 50th state. So many people use the slang Five-0 as being a cop that they think that's what it meant.  ;)

I did a dance to the theme way back in the dark ages and people used to hum it as I walked by. Now, I cringe everytime I hear it.

Haven't seen an episode as of yet, but I've gotta agree with you about the theme song.  :)

BTW, it never dawned on me that the FIVE-0 meant the 50th state. Duh.  Maybe because I thought the 0 was a letter instead of the number. Double duh....
