Subject: Who sang....?

Written By: E.C. on 10/12/03 at 09:00 p.m.

Can some one help me find out who sang a song called "Cry"
I know that it was done by Ray Charles but I would love to find out if another performer might have done it better.
It goes:

When your sweetheart sends a letter of goodbye.
It's no secret you'll feel better if you cry.
When waking from a bad dream
Don't you sometimes think it's real.
But it's only false emotions that you feel.

If your heartache seems to linger on too long.
And the blues keep getting bluer with each song.
Just remember sunshine can be found behind a cloudy sky.
So let your hair down and go on and cry.

I think the most famous version would be Johnny Ray.

I think Godley and Creme recorded "Cry" in 1985 too.

That's a different song with the same title.
