Subject: The 50's by David Halberstam

Written By: eightiesfan on 04/27/04 at 2:21 pm

Has anyone ever read this book?  I have a copy of it in my home.  I thought some parts of it were interesting (like the history of how McDonald's and Holiday Inn came to be; I was also kind of surprised at some of the things I read about the Nelsons).

It's kind of a long book, but it's well worth it if you have the time and the attention span.
