That could be his real name. David Jones is a popular name. In fact, there was another guy with the name of David Jones who had to change his name because there was already a David Jones making records. What did he change it to? David Bowie.

If it really were Davy, why wouldn't he make it a point to say so? If he wanted anonymity, he would have never used his real name or info. His info is easy to come by, thus, it could very-well be a fan/prankster.
I met Davy. If I wanted to test his identity, I could by simply asking a question (and receiving the correct answer) which hasn't been documented. ;)
