Yesterday comes 2nd b/c of my love for the Beatles, of course!

'Helps' number 1. I'm a HUGE Beatles fan, so they make the top of the list. I like about everything on this list. ;D

"Yesterday" The Beatles

And most of the list from the 'Stones & Supremes. (Also the Beatles  8) )

"Downtown" is a great song, but is one of the few Petula Clark songs my local oldies station play... though still great.

Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
Yesterday - The Beatles
Turn! Turn! Turn! - The Byrds
I Got You Babe - Sonny & Cher
Help! - The Beatles
You've Lost That lovin' Feelin' - The Righteous Brothers
My Girl - The Temptations
Mr. Tambourine Man - The Byrds

Maaaan, these are all total classics, however... to be honest Help! just takes it at the post, the song that got me in to The Beatles. I can now busk along to like half the tracks they did... :)
