Subject: "Let's all go to the lobby"

Written By: eightieschick53 on 07/10/05 at 12:42 pm

Does anyone remember this short little video that they used to play before a movie started? It would show popcorn, candy and drinks singing and dancing (well, sort of) It played throughout the '50's and '60s at the movie theatres and I've read it still plays at some drive-in theatres. For anyone who doesn't remember it, I've included a link to the video.

It's a cute little video that should be revived and played at the movie theatres today  :)  ;D

That's real cool !! it brings back memories of the Rivoli Movies on Ferry Street in Newark NJ, now closed down, buying Bon Bon's for 35 cents and a box candy covered peanuts for 5 cents and of course a cup full of popcorn for a quarter, 5 cents more for a squirt of melted butter and the last movie I saw there "House on Haunted Hill" staring Vincent Price...I can go on and on now that you got me started thinking...but I'll stop here I don't want to bore anyone!

Oh wait this might cool to hear, that Rivoli Movie I mentioned, Tom Cruse filmed and segment of his movie "War of the Worlds" right in front of where that movie house was...You see what you started with that video...Thanks, no really thank you!
