Subject: Favorite Abbott & Costello movies

Back in the day, their movies would always be on ch. 11 noon on Sundays. There are so many great ones. How I wish they would show more of these classics.

I have fond memories of them in

"The Time of Their Lives" (my favorite  :) ) from 1946
and
"Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" from 1948 (shouldn't that be "A&B Meet Frankenstein's monster" ?).

I had to vote other. I can't believe you left off
"The Naughty Nineties" with the classic Who's On First
routine.I also liked "The Wistful Widow of Wagon Gap"

So that's where the Who's On First came from... I am not familiar with any of their movies, just the comedy routines.

...might be Hold That Ghost....too long ago to remember...maybe I have it mixed up with Wizard of Oz...some funny scene with the line "I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks" Any of you know it? "who's on first" is definitely funny, but I won't remember the movie it's from.

I'm glad to see that "Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" was included in the poll. While I have seen all of their films, that was the first one I ever saw, and it is still my favorite. Maybe because I think that is the funniest one they ever made. And it helps that Boris Karloff is in it.

I was never really a big A&C fan but there was one that I remember-after doing some research I found it was called "The time of their lives". Lou and some woman were thrown down a well in Colonal times. They basically haunted the well. Bud was someone alive in the 20th century. It was different from all the other A&C movies, I thought.

They were all good, I think the the Frankenstein one was done well, Lon Chaney and Bela Logosi play the monster parts even the Invisable Man got into the closing scene.
