Subject: Who was your favorite of The Temptations

Despite his many setbacks, David Ruffin had the most powerful, soulful voice of the group. Eddie Kendricks is my second choice, and who can forget the deep sound of Melvin Franklin. I know other members joined through the years, but I stuck with the main players who brought the group it's early success.

David Ruffin, followed by Eddie Kendricks and Dennis Edwards.

I had no idea Dennis Edwards was a Temptation.  As a solo artist, he had a great hit in 1984 called Don't Look Any Further.  It only made #72 on the Billboard Charts, but what do charts mean anyway?

Edwards replaced Ruffin, he was good too, he had a very powerful voice leading the group into the 70s, he was great on 'Ball of confusion' and 'Papa was a rolling stone' .
