I remember most of these, some I've long forgotten about :)

my favorites were bizarre and the beachcombers, you can't get anymore canadian than the beachcombers on cbc ;)

Before cable we were really limited in what we had to watch; however, Beachcombers was a family favorite seldom missed. Even though he was the "bad guy", I used to like the character Relic. Although the bad guy, he was comical! I can still visualize his face and his old, black, beat up boat!

The only show I remember that came from Canada was "The Kids in the Hall"

The Friendly Giant was one of my favorite shows as a kid.  The Littlest Hobo is also good, ditto with Mr. Dressup.

Just remembered something about the Friendly Giant. Do you remember the name of his sidekick the rooster puppet that hung in a cloth bag? (This is a tough one!)

Of course.  T'was Rusty the Rooster, and you mustn't forget Jerome the Giraffe.  The Friendly Giant was an awesome show :)

I think I remember 'The Beachcombers' being shown over here...

...but if we're talking Canada, we had plenty of stuff from the National Film Board thrown at us...!
