It is called Turn Around and was written in 1959 by Harry Belafonte, Alan Greene, and Malvina Reynolds. It was recorded by The Kingston Trio in 1964 on the album "Time to Think". The only version of the song to reach the Top 40 was in 1963 by "Dick & DeeDee", who reached #27
Where are you going my little one, little one,
Where are you going my baby my own?
Turn around and you're two,
turn around and you're four,
Turn around and you're a young girl
going out of the door.
Where are you going,
my little one, little one?
Dirndls and petticoats,
where have you gone?
Turn around and you're tiny,
turn around and you're grown,
Turn around and you're a young wife,
with babes of your own.
Turn around (turn around) turn around,
and you're a young wife
with babes of your own.
Where are you going,
my little one, little one?
Where are you going my baby my own?
Turn around and you're two,
turn around and you're four,
Turn around and you're a young girl,
going out of the door.
Where are you going
my little one, little one?
Dirndls and petticoats,
where have you gone?
Turn around and you're tiny,
turn around and you're grown,
Turn around and you're a young wife,
with babes of your own.
Turn around (turn around) turn around,
and you're a young wife,
with babes of your own.

That's the song on the old Kodak commercial that they used to play on TV specials about old commercials.

I know the song you are talking about! It has the words " peering through the clouds" I can't find it either. It is not "turn around"! Did you find it yet. I need to find it myself.
