I'm not going to mention any Beatles here because they are in a class by themselves (and I have too many that I love).

Non-Beatles tunes (no order):

-Those were the Days-Mary Hopkins
-Bus Stop-The Hollies
-California Dreamin'-The Mamas & the Papas
-You Don't Own Me-Leslie Gore
-Windmills of Your Mind-(still looking for a really good version of that song even though Hubby thinks Johnny Mathis does a great job but I haven't heard him do it yet)
-The Puppy Song-Neilson
-Wonderful World-Sam Cooke
-You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling-The Rightous Brothers
- Manha De Carnaval-from the movie Black Orpheus

Many more but that is all I can think of right now.

...basically, you could throw me almost any 60s song and I'll like it in some way...

(Apart from Esther & Abi's 'Cinderella Rockerfella', which was just dire...!)

Are You Experienced - Jimi Hendrix

I guess I just never acquired a taste for that screechy voice of hers... it's not as noticable in "Cry Baby" or "Piece of my Heart" though, so I like listening to those two once in awhile.

Anything by The Who probably goes without saying. Favourite songs from the 60s that weren't by The Who:

Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks
Out of Time by The Rolling Stones (the version where Brian Jones shows himself to be a superb marimba player)

but my favourite 60s song - I even like this more than anything The Who did in the 60s - is Itchycoo Park by The Small Faces. I often wonder - if the Small Faces hadn't split up in 1968, would The Who have been my second favourite group? My favourite music is The Who's early 70s stuff, but what might The Small Faces have been doing then? We'll never know.

I've been listening to alot of 60's classics lately, and I must add in like every hit by Bobby Curtola.  He was such a great singer ...

"Aladdin", "Move Over", "Indian Giver", "Hitchhiker", "Don't You Sweetheart Me", "I Cry and Cry" and the very excellent "Three Rows Over" :)

Jason, I'm like twice your age and don't recognize a single one. maybe if I sampled I would.

Bobby Curtola was a Canadian teen idol from the 60's.  Apart from two minor chart entries with "Fortune Teller" and "Aladdin", he never became a big star in America.

He had alot of great songs.  Here are some clips of some of his best known hits ...

1961 - Don't You Sweetheart Me
1961 - I'll Never Be Alone Again
1962 - Johnny Take Your Time
1962 - Fortune Teller
1962 - Aladdin
1963 - Indian Giver
1963 - Three Rows Over
