Subject: When did the 20th Century become distinguishable from the late 1800s?

I'd say 1915, but from the 1880s onward it began to become 20th-century-ish with electric lighting starting and such. In my opinion, when Franz Ferdinand (no not the band!) was shot, the 20th Century truly began.
1907 would also be a good starting date, as I believe that was when Henry Ford first paid his workers $5 a day, although I could be wrong.
