Sounds like "Hot Hot Hot" by Buster Poindexster.... AKA David Johannson who was a member of the NewYork Dolls.

Maybe it "Dread Zeppelin" in their version of "Ramble On" from their "Its Not Unusual" cd. It came out in 92 on IRS records.

La Flavour is the group that sings this song. It's called Mandolay. They have a website @ www.laflavour.com

The name of the group is La Flavour & thename of the song is Mandolay...it is a catchy tune...ur welcome ;D
