It just popped into my head and seems like it's gonna stay there for awhile...
I thought it was called "Tell him no"
Some of the lyrics are:
And he should tell you "I love you"
Tell him no no no no no no no no
'cause your love belongs to me.
It's a 60s song by a pop group, but I can't think of who or what.
Any ideas?

Is it "Tell Her No" by The Zombies? I can't find a decent version of the lyrics and the personal pronouns are the opposite way around, but...

The Zombies have tons of great songs. I love that one in particular cuz it's slightly lounge-y in the verse and then rockin' in the chorus.

Juice Newton did a fantastic cover version of that in 1983. It was her last ever Top 40 hit
