Subject: Laugh-In

I just watched Laugh-In for the first time and I really enjoyed the wackiness of that show.

Too bad TV was so creative those days!

Laugh-In was cutting edge at the time.
Can't imagine any show like this would make it on the air today. The closest we've come to it was SNL in the early years (70's).

I've seen some background interviews stating that they got away with a lot, as the jokes and one lines were cut so fast the censors didn't really get a chance to see or hear what was going on...too bad you can't get away with that nowadays. :(

Its great to watch the show and see all the cameos of famous period celebrities like Sammy Davis, Jr., and even Trick Dick himself!  8)

Must-see TV of the day!  :D

The show was edgy, hilarious and ahead of its time.  It gets my kudos!

Ditto!
I loved this show. It was fast paced with a great cast.

"Roses are red and violets are green. Get off your butt and join the Marines"  I still remember this.
John Wayne said it when he made a guest appearance.

I remember hearing about it from my parents for all my then life. Then back in 1987 I finally got to see it late at night on PBS of all places.

My parents just hated that show so and wouldn't let us watch it. Little did they know that my brother, sister and I would watch it on a TV in our upstairs bedroom.

The show even inspirered Pontiac to make a GTO "Judge"

Launched carrers for a lot of show regulars!
They did a movie I believe was called "The Maltese Bippy" 1969
It was about werewolves!
