Subject: Classic '50s Horror Movie--Help!

Does anyone remember a movie from the '50s or '60s. It's horror/sci-fi about a English town that was invaded by these alien swan-like monsters that would suck the bones out of animals and people. My mom has been racking her brains trying to remember the name of this movie. Thanks in advance! :)

Oh Yeah I know this one!!!Lousy British production that got a mention in the "Golden Turkey Awards" book.
The monsters looked like legless turtles with a hoover vacuum hose sticking out of them....They had to chop of buddy's hand to save him & sewed it back on near the end of the film....I'm just guessing but I'd have to say "ISLAND OF TERROR"..which was a terror for all the actors involved with that film...
The 50s had more $1.99 budget horror films than any other decade!
