Subject: Blackie Sheep... Any info on the obscure cartoon character

Old comic featuring Blackie Sheep (from Classic Cartoons blog)

"Much Ado About Mutton", a classic cartoon

Can't find any information about Blackie Sheep since he's not on the Toonopedia and not talked much about on Golden Age Cartoons forum (I tend to read threads, though dominated by hardcore buffs).

Though only know that he was probably in comic books (not sure if he was based from or appeared in comics after appearing on theatrical cartoons), only appeared in about 4 cartoond from Famous studios in the mid 1940's, and very obscure (assuming wasn't popular like Bugs Bunny or Donald Duck).

Did you try searching for "Blackie the lamb"?
