I love those vintage food labels...a lot of great stuff on that site!  8)

And best of all... NO INTERNET addresses! I feel that some companies should not include the Internet addresses on certain features because everybody takes Internet searching for granted nowadays, they can just use a search engine and book it as a "favorite", rather than remembering the URL!

But it this site really recalls a bygone era. I clicked on the links section to the "1960s Iowa Department Stores" and loved to see the records department and even the coin collecting department here. Live was simpler but purer.

  Remember when every department store had a -  1) Record Dept.  2)Toy Dept. and 3) Pet Dept.  Seems weird that K-Mart used to sell hamsters, goldfish and parakeets, usually sick and dying.  I think my first hamster we bought at a K-Mart.  Died three days later...

This is a cap from Sambo's restaurant. My mother used to work at one right around the time I was born. She even gave me a big Sambo's shirt to sleep in when I was little. (I wore it to bed until it fell apart) LOL. Good memories. Good memories.  ;D
