You read books or watched TV when it rained
You wanted to be on the Mickey Mouse Club
you could only see Disney Films when they were released or rereleased in the theaters,if they were on Tv, or if you had a projector.
The Lawrence Welk show bored you
Video games were science fiction

I think the Mickey Mouse Club was more of a 50s thing. I grew up in the 60s and the Mickey Mouse Club was not part of my consciousness at all. It was already a thing of the past. It's one of those things that was completely swept away with the coming of the Beatles and the cultural 60s. But you got it right about that awful Lawrence Welk Show. Ugh! My grandmother loved it though.  ;D

You remember the first time you watched color TV and the first time you saw a photograph in color.
You remember watching early anime like Astro Boy and Speed Racer
You are now alot older than the WW2 veterans were when you were a kid
You were amazed by the technology on Star Trek

1.You only had 3 channels of tv to watch
Had 5 if you count PBS - plus a couple "VHF" channels in Chicago
2. You did not trust anyone over 30
Didn't apply to me - but that's what everybody said
3. You remember where you were when John F Kennedy got shot and when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.
Yes to moon, no to Kennedy getting shot (I was only 3)
4. At night you watched The Flintstones
  Yes!
5. You remember when Walt Disney was alive and you watched him on the Wonderful World of Color.
Yes!  (Although the Wonderful World of Color didn't mean much to us - our TV was B&W)

You read books or watched TV when it rained
  Yes!
You wanted to be on the Mickey Mouse Club
Yes (at least until I was about 6)
You could only see Disney Films when they were released or rereleased in the theaters,if they were on Tv, or if you had a projector.
Yes - or one other way, they were shown in school (w/projector)
The Lawrence Welk show bored you
Actually I didn't mind it at first (I liked all those bubbles)
Video games were science fiction
  Video games?!?!  What???

You remember the first time you watched color TV and the first time you saw a photograph in color.
No on the color photograph, but yes on the color TV
You remember watching early anime like Astro Boy and Speed Racer
Loved Speed Racer.  Don't really remember Astro Boy
You are now alot older than the WW2 veterans were when you were a kid
Hmm, higher math - sorry, my brain is tired
You were amazed by the technology on Star Trek
  Yes!

I think I must be a 60's kid!  :)

You realize when you re watch Mary Poppins that 1964 is as distant from 2018 as it is from the films setting in 1910.

You were scared of the punishment your dad would give you when you got in trouble.

You read Archie comic books and saw the cartoon.

You remember learning how to duck and cover from Bert the turtle.

You remember listening to music on reel to reel tapes instead of audio cassette tapes

Listening to music on a portable device involved carrying a bulky tape playing device or a record player.

Portable music players meant an AM transistor radio, and later in the decade, FM
You hated how FM radio only played classical music or talk
You secretly hide from your parents to play rock music
You had to call married women you don't know by their husband's FULL name after the Mrs.
You visited South Africa and realize that they didn't have TV yet
You're shocked that Vietnam is as old now as WWI is today
You remember seeing violent films by yourself before the rating system was introduced
You were mad when the price of a comic was raised from 10 to 12 cents
You wanted to hoard silver coins from change in hopes that they'll gain value when the first "clad" coins were introduced

-You could go into a store with a dollar or less and come out with a bag full of candy.
-You could go into a store as a kid and buy a pack of cigarettes.
-You rode your bike without helmets or knee/elbow pads.
-You rode on top of the back seat in a convertible with the top down.
-You rode in a car without seat belts.
-You played on the monkey bars that were on top of cement.
-You would go out without any adult supervision but knew you had to be home by the time the street lights came on.
-You ate "Food Sticks" and drank "Tang" because that is what the astronauts ate/drank.
-You had a rotary phone (maybe a party line).
-You had your milk delivered to you-and they had a cardboard top on the bottle.
-You knew who Bazooka Joe was.
-You had a bike with a banana seat.

I am wondering how many people who have replied to this thread were alive in the '60s. As the saying goes, if you remember the '60s, you weren't there.  :D ;D ;D ;D

You remember when the national anthem would play late at night on TV.
You remember when phone numbers had letters in them.
You remember seeing the Flintstones Winston cigarette commercial.
You drank directly from the water hose and no adults worried about it.
You remember playing with Jarts

Yes, I remember phone numbers with letters. I also remember before zip codes as we now know them there were two digit city codes between the city and state. For example, instead of:

Anytown, TX 55555
It would be Anytown , 55 TEX

It was before two letter state abbreviations also, so for something like Massachusetts, instead of the current MA it would be MASS.

Yes, Mercurochrome was a common household item in those days. Everybody had it. It could be purchased in any drugstore or supermarket. I twas taken off the market in the late 90s because it contained mercury and was considered "untested", but I'm not sure if there were ever any known cases of mercury poisoning from it.  Fever thermometers also contained mercury in those days.

You remember when you only saw males wearing pants to school and playing sports.
You remember when P.E classes were separated by gender.
Your remember when it was only your father who had a car and your mom did not.
You enjoyed being able to watch TV and eat dinner at the same time

What i meant was that back then you did not see as much females either playing sports or wearing pants back in the 60s.
