it's been suggested to me a couple times, but I don't know how a section like that would look. Maybe someone could try it as a thread on the messageboard first, and we'll see how it shakes out.

I really like that idea. I've always had this conspiracy theory that Steely Dan and Santana must have been collaborating in some way when they recorded "Do It Again" and "Evil Ways," respectively.
But at the same time, we'd have to make sure that nobody submit songs that have samples or are sampled in another song...for example, something like "Every Breath You Take" by the Police and "I'll Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy wouldn't work.

I noticed the intros of 2 of Incubus' songs, "11am" and "Drive" sound alike.
Bob Sinclair's "Love Generation" and Kabah's "Una Ilusion" have the same flute-like section. Kabah's song came first, however.
The end of B52's "Rock Lobster" and Junior Senior's "White Trash" sound alike.
Also Rihanna samples Tainted Love in SOS.
The melody in Laura Pausini's 'Como Si No Nos Hubiermos' that sounds like the melody from Daft Punk's 'Something About You.'
