Subject: Why does Fitu Petaia always have to make a problem on the site?

Written By: Jason on 10/05/06 at 2:43 pm

Dear ChuckyG and all.

I've been a long term fan of AmIRight for about 4 years and I have noticed that someone under the name of Fitu Petaia seems to specialise in deliberatly writing extremely poor parodies. Despite the sheer abundance of low votes and negative comments s/he continues to do so. The icing on the cake was when this stupid author tried to rip off someone else's parody "Huntin' For Nothing". I really hope Fitu does not write any more parodies.

I've noticed that person's parodies over the years...most of them don't even seem like parodies. ::) I've been coming to the site for 6 1/2 years and have seen a lot of weird parodies by various authors (and some great ones too)...but Fitu, he/she/it needs to go.

yea I have to agree with you there. If you take a look at the said author's parody "Last Graduation", you can see in the comments section that someone has typed "Do us a favour and STOP WRITING PARODIES".
If someone said that to me i'd be too ashamed to write another parody. Just shows how low that person/thing/whatsit is.

This reminds me of the "George Hamilinton IV" thread over a year ago. While I defended George (for what reason I have no idea), I can't do the same here.

First of all, this "Fitu Petaia" parody today: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/direstraits64.shtml

is a blatant plagiary of Steve Cavanagh's parody, posted here:

http://www.theforce.net/songbook/Songs/18.htm

I've seen a few of Fitu's works, most songs I am DKTOS. This recent one I saw was so badly paced, if zero were a voting option I would have taken it. It is also incomplete:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/michaeljackson134.shtml

Note the bottom comment: "I couldn't finish it"

But, not wanting to be too critical of this author, I scrolled through his/her author page to find something I knew. I was surprised to find 11 American Pie parodies. I thought "Hey, I know that song, and if he's done it 11 times he must be good at it." Wrong.

Out of those 11 AP parodies, 9 of them are missing 50% to 90+% of the song.

Here we go:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean4.shtml
verse, chorus, verse, chorus. Works for many Nirvana songs, but for AP it doesn't come close.

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean6.shtml
3 verses and 3 choruses - just a *bit* short

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean8.shtml
same as above

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean7.shtml
same as above. Maybe there's a two minute long version of the song?

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean9.shtml
A 2 verse AP? WTF?  ???

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean10.shtml
3 verses? Somewhere, Don McLean is crying.

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean11.shtml
rhyming is so bad I can't follow any of it. Missing quite a bit too

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean13.shtml
another fragment

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmcclean15.shtml
Congrats, Fitu. That was only the 4th 111 vote I have ever given. Miserable, and 85% incomplete.

Maybe if these songs were run through translating software to Fitu's native language (whatever that may be),they would rhyme, but they'd still be horrifically incomplete.

I'd love nothing more than to see Fitu improve, but given that he's been at AmIRight for over 3 years now I don't think that is going to happen.

Fitu, if you happen upon this thread, at least write a complete parody of the song you are doing.

Red Ant,

Today I went through Fitu's parodies and the only half decent parody I could find was Dell Computers (Eddie Grant - Electric Avenue). The pacing wasn't actually too bad here. Obviously it wasn't perfect coming from the said author, but at least it was worth reading. Shame this author couldn't have made his other parodies almost as good as that one.

Here's a few more seriously incomplete ones:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/georgemichael18.shtml

Whiskered Rooster is right; at best, half the song is there.

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/thevillagepeople12.shtml

I'm not aware of a 40 second long version of "YMCA". The Villiage People probably aren't either.

Here's a duplicate of that one I said paced zero:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/michaeljackson65.shtml

It still paces zero, and it's still incomplete.

I did give Fitu a 555 on his "A Horse With No Name" parody, even though it doesn't pace, rhyme and there's only one line of the chorus written. I hate that song.

What is mind blowing is that, recently, Fitu did a "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" parody, and it was perfectly paced, perfectly rhymed, and complete. Then s/he, in the same week, posts a blatant plagiary and something else that just made me glad I didn't know TOS.

Red Ant,

For some reason, whenever you post a link to a page, the page suddenly becomes "dead" (I get the 'This page cannot be displayed message')

What made me laugh was the way Fitu tried to justify writing "Last Graduation" by writing "This has to be sung in a special way to fit the OS, you need to sing it as Last Grad-u-a-tion (quickly)"

Was this a "parody" of Wham's "Last Christmas"? ::) I may have seen that one.

If the number of syllables doesn't match, there's no way on earth you could sing it perfectly to the original song; the word graduation has twice as many syllables as the word Christmas. It just doesn't work.

That would be because ChuckyG deleted them.

This one is plagiarized too:

(stupid site won't allow a direct link - I'll have to remember that...)

It's the second listing here

He's better than you, in fact here's a brief chronicles of your life:

1994: A baby was born but due to a nurse dropping him on his head a brain damage would occur but knowing the hospital would face another lawsuit the medical staff decides not to tell the baby's abusive parents to be and that how it would start.

1997: Huffing rabid kittens would be your favorite past time and due to the brain damage you have, you're not aware the effect it would have later on.

2000: Torturing housepets is something what you call "fun" but to normal people it isn't normal.

2002: Nerds finally have someone to pick on, making them feel superior at last.

2003: You discover amiright.com and with years of huffing infected kittens starting to effect your already damaged brain you start submitting something you think is awesome but it wasn't, they're not even mediocre either.

Face it, you're banned and there's no way you will submit your works ever again! 8-P

I'm sorry to post something this late... liek 5 years later and I know that the warning says  "this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.
Unless there is important new information to be added or updated, start a new topic instead." But I jsut want to say that Fitu is my older brother and I hadn't realized that there was a problem with him on am I right until now that I had a random urge to search up my family's names to check that they're not doing anything bad. I just feel the need to defend him in the respect that he's mentally disabled and I wish that you all would take something like that into consideration when your criticizing someone and not to be so harsh.
Once again I apologize for this SUPER late post.
