Subject: Poomaster Parodies...do they cross the line

Written By: agrimorfee on 04/20/07 at 12:03 pm

To Chucky, and others.

We have become inundated with the parody works of one "Poomaster", crossing...no, LEAPFROGGING the bounds of good taste. I would not have said to ban this character, but the Tom Jones one, amongst the others he has recently submitted, should be re-examined.

Jason posted these items in the Parodies thread:

There is more of these by the same author:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/francisscottkey10.shtml

http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/tomjones12.shtml

http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/bowlingforsoup103.shtml

This is getting a bit too much. If one author is hammering the site with the same topic in numerous parodies, then something should be done about it.

Jason

The second one makes me think of a couple of Poopy Longstocking's most extreme ones.

Definetly gross, but I'm going to stay neutral in this. Considering that I've wrote about 10 or so Catgirl parodies(I know that those are not scatological, but still pointing it out).... I'm not really in a position to take one side.

I hope no one complains when I do an entire Nirvana album about catgirls.(Which is what I'm planning as soon as I get control of my apartment or move)

I think that they should be judged individually "S*** and Pee" may go to far because cursing excessively is specifically banned, the gross ones that are just gross, well no they are just gross---I personally stand for freedom of speech, however this site is a PG/PG-13 type site, therefor ones that use excessive cursing should be the only ones removed-most of his are just nasty--not cursatic.. .

Ooh--and am I the only person wondering if this might be "The Caca Man"?  I mean, he is generally regarded as a recorder, but maybe he got bored. . .

They're gross, but I'm kinda a neutral on this stuff.

I tend to not really worry about those types of parodies, but I'm surprised that you wrote 9 of them in one day.

I'm more of an anime/catgirl parody author myself.

Complain? Bring it on! ;D

No-one seems to be comlaining about me doing a whole album based on the Transformers mythos. They seem to be lovin it.

As for the actual topic...I'm all for the odd poo parody (or poorody), but it does get a bit outta hand when someone devotes his entire parody line-up to poorodies. Which is why i've only written three (four if you count the one about me busting for the loo).

I'm on a hiatus for now.(My mom is at my place until she gets her own apartment, long story)

I don't need to play songs on CDs in repetition.(which is how I write and test lyrics for parodies), that can be very annoying to others.

I also have over 20 parody ideas for other songs too, I'll have to jumble it up when I get back to it.
