To avoid the risk of coming off snide or disrespectful of the dead if this is truly valid, I offer no comment. Whoever posted it obviously wasn't familiar about the process of posting there.
EDIT: a quick (not extensive) Google search offered no solid information. His last submission was August 12.

Wow. This is very disheartening news. He was a very intelligent person and would comment on various parodies of mine with positive remarks and thus I looked upon him with respect as a fellow writer/ Amirighter and friend. We shared a lot of common interests including Star Wars and Comic Books. I feel really sorry for the Arndt family and their loss. He knew a lot about history, weaponry and a multitude of other topics.
Sad day indeed.
