Subject: A Possible Bug
Hi, Chucky, HS and MW. I might have found a possible bug. I tried to delete one of my posts from the Quizzes board. But when I pressed "Modify", I couldn't get in. Then I click "modify" on someone else's (Marci's) post on that same thread and got my messege instead. So I deleted it. And now both messages are gone. Did I do something wrong or is it a quirk in the server today? ???

J.C.---I wonder if maybe we were trying to delete posts at the same time? I know I deleted one of my posts from that same thread (just trying to correct my name with dagwood's), and I noticed you had mentioned the same thing, but that Karen had already corrected hers, so I deleted mine... ::)
Anyway, by all means, if one of the mods has more info, I hope they can help ya, but I just knew that at about the same time, we were both trying to make corrections on the same post...so, maybe?? ???

Anything is possible. I still find it odd that the system would act funny when we are trying to post at the same time. ???

I think that might be a possible problem, JC. I tried to post once, and then checked recent posts. It seemed that my post purposefully delayed for a second before posting because someone else had posted (I found out when I looked at recent posts) one second beforehand. I guess it COULD delay.

from the sounds of what happened, I would say the page you had was out of date due to the other person deleting their message.. so the number of the message you were trying to edit moved out from under you.. it is a glitch with the design of the software, but one that should have been better handled.. I don't know that there is much I can do to fix it either
