Hi ChuckyG!

I realise that you are very busy but I am having problems trying to put a picture into my profile. I followed a previous thread but I still don't get any joy - am I missing something?

if you're trying to use a picture of your own, it has to be on a webserver somewhere.  Some webservers block people from linking to their pictures, so you may have to try a couple different places. I don't know where you can get free hosting though, maybe someone else can respond to this thread and let you know.

Ok, this has been itching at me for a while.  When someone posts a pic in their profile and/or in the message body, does this website go and retrieve the pic from it's source and store it here once or does it have to do that EVERYTIME someone reads the message?  ???

Essentially, the picture does not exist on this site, only a reference (URL) to it.  The actual image is downloaded onto the client's machine when the page is viewed.
This site will not 'store' pictures.
Local hosts may cache the image but that's not quite the same thing and only affects that specific user.

I myself is having a bit of a problem.I'm trying to get a small picture to go below my name at the bottom but it tells me to put in the YABBc Code and I did but it keeps coming up with a red x and I also put in the which that didn't help either cause it gave me the website URL and not the pic itself.Could someone help me out? Thanks. ;D

Yes Howard. Some websites do not like to have their pics used in other websites, many times due to concerns with bandwith. So, they protect their pics by prohibiting them from displaying. My suggestion to you is to either choose one of the pics we have available here in our site or go to a reputable website like Amazon and use their record covers. They don't seem to mind. ;)

I had a problem with that yesterday, but I eventually got it to work.
