Subject: V for Veryweird...

Written By: agrimorfee on 11/05/07 at 9:41 am

All the emoticons are currently defaulting as the "V For Vendetta" mask. Do you know about this, and if so, what's the occasion?  ;) >:(

Assumed it was the closest Chucky could get to a Guy Fawkes mask

it's very hard to make a small Fawkes icon... I try something every year, but this was the first time I got something at least recognizable.

I guess this thread was too obscure for people to get the joke...

I changed them all to the same mask, since that was a V for Vendetta movie reference.

I realised you meant Guy Fawkes in that thread but I've never even heard of the movie, le alone any quotes, to 'get' the reference.

I will admit because I knew nothing about Guy Fawkes or V for Vendetta - I thought someone had stolen your ID Chucky! I was going to pm you to see if it was really you and if you posted that thread! LOL

I was wondering why all the emoticons were being masked today!

which is reason enough to see it...

Netflix had a Bit of Fry and Laurie, but season one was unavailable for ages for some reason.... just got it the other day.

Not sure if you get Bones over in the UK yet, but last year in season one, he played a small role as a psychiatrist for a couple episodes.  Kind of funny to see him on the show that is usually shown before House with his pal Hugh Laurie.

I heard about Hugh Laurie's, but not Stephen Fry's... must be separation anxiety from spending less time working together.

I miss the old ones...

just a day... just for something different...

As for future smiley's, we've got Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up... I'd do Kwanza and Hanukkah too if I could think of an appropriate hat for them

Yes, but why do they all have to be that masked man?

A google of kwanzaa/headgear pulled this:

And of course, I suppose you could put a yarmulke on the little guy in the spirit of Hanukkah. ;) Hope that helps.

It's because all the smileys are wearing the mask, hence they all look the same.

If you see the V for Vendetta movie, it becomes obvious why I would want that.

If you let that go around enough times, the emoticons will get further and further apart...and the guy who's behind will eventually win.

It does make it hard to express the right emotion if all the smileys look the same.  Glad it's just for a day

For Kwanzaa...you could do like a funky African hunting mask, like the really long ones.

For Hanukkah, just put a yamulke on top of each smilie :D
